The christmas tree is up

Me and Joe with the Sarah (she's the cardiac nurse)

The builders finished the new glass entrance porch at the hospital this week, reception looks even bigger and much lighter now.  Best bit though is that the porch fits two Christmas trees, one either side, I wonder if that means double presents ...?

This is Joe, me and Charlie.  Margaret on reception decorated the tree… I love the colours… stylish don’t you think?

My awesome friend Joe was in for his yearly boosters and a play with his friends in the new hospital.   This is us snuggled up on the sofa in the staff room when no one was looking  - sshh.  You can’t see Joe very well, he’s the same colour as the sofa.

Whoops, time to sneak out before they spot us

I’m a media star!

Did you see me in the paper this week – Bristol Evening Post on wednesday.  That’s me with Richard my dad and Richard Saunders who is a bigwig at the bank.  Good picture isn’t it?  (We're looking through the CT scanner).  What’s really funny is that my dad had to be in the picture.  He NEVER lets anyone take his picture, but there are times when it’s just too embarrassing to say ‘No’.

Hasn't it been cold this week?  Colder than I can bear, I've hardly stepped out the door without my new coat on – thanks mum!

Talking of mum, I promised her that I would take loads of pics of the hospital and put them on the blog this week because she hasn’t had a chance to see it yet (she works in London at lot), but I just haven’t had time.  Sorry mum.  Next week … maybe when I show my friend Joe Cocker round – he’s coming in for his boosters.  You are still coming aren’t you Joe?

Bumped into Brandy today having a shower

This my friend Brandy with Liz her owner, a vet nurse at the hospital.  Brandy is really beautiful and loves being groomed and having warm showers.   This is her testing out the shower in the new kennels.

Lovely but tiring.... time for a nap

Only one month until Christmas!

My dad brought me to the hospital today to watch the new signs being put up – boring zzzzzz - much more interesting is my new coat!  I feel like the lady of the manor – my mum Tracey bought it for me and I look a million dollars (dad is sooo embarrassed when I wear it).

Me in my new coat, note the matching collar and lead.

Now I am really excited about Christmas - if I get a posh coat like this for no reason at all, imagine what I could get for Christmas.

Bristol Banners' men at work, cool signs, no fun to watch

Thursday 18 November 2010

Hello again, it’s been such a busy week, I’ve been at Ashton with Tilly most of the time and it was so busy, we hardly got a chance to play indoors, spent most of the time playing in the garden.

However, today I got to go Whitchurch and have a ‘VIP’ tour of the new CT scanner with Robert, Stig’s dad.  Robert’s really excited about it, says it’s the best one around for animals, it gives 3D pictures of what’s going on inside the body, like a normal x-ray but much much better.

This is our Head Nurse, Tash, she's lovely

See the cool lazers?

Robert showing me how the CT works, still haven't a clue
Gobbledegook to me, but it looks amazing, has all these red lazer lights and buttons.  I’m excited ‘cos I was allowed to see it and Stig wasn’t, he’s too naughty.

Fun with my friends at the new hospital

At last everyone has moved into the new hospital and I get to see my friends again.  Today I got to see Kasey and Stig.

Kasey is a German Shepherd and she’s massive - when I first met Kasey I panicked, but really she’s a big softy (don’t tell her I said that, she’s meant to be a guard dog).

Here she is testing out the new kennels, they’re huge, mmmmm big thumbs up from Kasey.

Kasey trying out the new kennels

I also got to mess around with Stig.   Stig is Robert’s dog and he’s completely mad, always laughing and always in trouble - we got told off as usual, but not like a real telling off, the nurses here are cool, they give us treats.
Stig - he's mad

Another great day, I’m back at Ashton branch with Tilly tomorrow, and next week I get a go on the CT scanner, can’t wait…

Went to the main hospital in Whitchurch today and managed to sneak a look around the new hospital extension, so exciting, I was the first animal to go in there... being the bosses pet has it's advantages... here's some pictures..

What a day!

I'm exhausted.  Been playing almost flat out all day with Tilly (Jack russell) at Duckmoor Road surgery in Ashton.  Surgery was full today, Duckmoor Road has to be the second busiest Highcroft surgery, next to the hospital in Whitchurch (which I love - you have to see it, they've just built a massive extension, it's sooo cool).
